First Blog: Why did I create Crown and Card?

By Pinky Pogo

If you’ve found your way here, welcome. Truly.. I am in no way a tech expert so this will be a learning experience for me; but the blueprints are in line to create this space exactly what Ive imagined and continue to improve..

The Crown & Card Co. started as a tiny spark & some social media burnout haha!

But really, an idea that grew out of my love for collecting Pokemon Cards, creativity, and the feeling of belonging. I’ve spent years creating in the Pokémon community, connecting with amazing people, and learning how powerful a little positivity can be. But I’ve also seen the harder side of online spaces: the pressure, the negativity, the gatekeeping, and the moments when it feels like you don’t belong unless you fit a certain mold.

I wanted something different.

I wanted a place where we could engage and navigate our experiences opposed to being shown a bunch of crap we don’t care about by an algorithm.

A place where creators of all sizes feel seen, appreciated, and celebrated.

A place where you can shine — not compete.

That’s how The Crown & Card Co. was born.

I created this space to give collectors and creators a home — a real home — one that doesn’t judge, doesn’t compare, and doesn’t tear people down. Here, we lift each other up. We celebrate wins, big and small. We talk cards, art, photography, memories, and the stories behind the people holding the cards.

But more than anything, this space is about crowning creators who deserve recognition. So many amazing people in the card community don’t get the spotlight they deserve. They’re thoughtful, talented, kind, creative — and their voices matter. I wanted a place where those voices are front and center. A place where community comes before clout. A place where kindness isn’t optional; it’s the culture.

If you’re here because you love cards, or creativity, or connection — or you just want a safe, happy corner of the internet — you’re home.

Whether you’re new, experienced, shy, outspoken, artistic, or just curious… your crown is waiting. And so is your community.

Welcome to The Crown & Card Co.

Where collectors come to shine
