The Pokémon community is one of the most vibrant, expressive, and passionate groups of people I’ve ever seen. It’s filled with collectors, creators, artists, and fans who put their hearts into what they do. And while growing in this space can be exciting, it can also feel overwhelming — especially when you’re trying to stay true to yourself in a world that can sometimes move too fast.

As someone who built her platform through kindness, connection, and authenticity, I want to share what truly matters when you’re hoping to get noticed in this community. Not the shortcuts. Not the gimmicks. The real things. The things that make people remember you for the right reasons.

Because at the end of the day, being noticed isn’t the goal.

Being remembered — for your heart, your loyalty, and your character — is.

First Things First- Create Content that is Authentic To YOU!

We all collect the same thing. Make your content unique in a way people will recognize and remember.

✨Let Your Personality Be Your Brand.

In a community as large as ours, the one thing nobody else can replicate is you.

Your personality.

Your humor.

Your softness.

Your passions.

Your story.

Your voice.

The more you lean into who you truly are, the more unforgettable you become. You don’t need to fit into anyone else’s aesthetic or copy anyone else’s formula. There’s room for every kind of creator in this space — especially the ones who lead with honesty and heart.

Authenticity is magnetic.

People can spot real energy instantly.

Get to know other Pokemon Collectors and Creators.

Instagram is a great starting point. Not so much for the algorithm but when it comes to meeting others.

When you’re just starting out there is no better way to get your content seen than jumping on a theme. For example: I’ve been hosting Pink Pokemon Wednesday for over five years! It’s open to anyone! It can be your first post on Instagram and if you join my theme and tag me BOOM I see you. These themes are mostly simple topics where you can use your style of creation.

Tons of creators host online activities like trading Pokemon Cards, making collab theme posts, or even deeper activities like Secret Santa. This is my fifth year of hosting the Pokemon Queens Secret Santa. Each year we have a lot of the same girls and a lot of new faces! We all get to know each other better and connect.

Join a group chat! Be careful though.. some group chats are super friendly and positive, while others can be a festival of Pokemon Drama with “Evil Dictators” who have high demands that more than likely are made up to promote themselves over the members of their group chat. Just watch the dynamic of how the group talks and never be afraid of bailing.

Go to Events! There are SO MANY fun conventions and events centered around Pokemon. They can range in size and location. Start local or just watch for the big ones. My personal favorite event is Card Party. They make sure everyone feels included and it’s a lot of fun. These events are the easiest and fasted way of meeting people. And who knows… maybe one day you’ll end up on stage and become the creator who people came to meet!

⭐️ Now Let’s Get Serious ⭐️

Once you’ve made your connections and become a recognized member of the Pokemon Community- These are the things you absolutely MUST pay attention to.

✨Stay True to the People Who Were There From the Beginning.

This is one of the biggest things I’ve learned.

When your audience grows, even a little, people will treat you differently. You’ll get more messages, more eyes on you, more expectations. And some creators let that change them. They stop commenting back. They stop showing up for the friends who were with them long before any “success.” They go viral and suddenly forget the people who helped them feel seen when they first started.

Please don’t ever become that person.

Staying loyal says more about you than any number ever will.

Your day-ones are part of your story - and you are part of theirs.

Your growth should never cost you your friendships.

And yes… it’s totally okay to follow people back. It doesn’t make you “less professional.” It makes you human. It makes you connected. It makes you someone people feel safe approaching.

Loyalty in the social media world is rare. When you show it, people notice.

✨Engage Like You Still Have 200 Followers.

No matter how big you become, stay engaged.

Creators who keep growing are the ones who stay present. They still like posts. They still comment. They still support their friends. They still respond to people. They still show love even when their notifications are overflowing.

Engagement is not an obligation - it’s a reflection of your heart.

When people feel seen by you, they remember you.

When people feel ignored by you, they notice that too.

Staying grounded is one of the most powerful things you can do for your platform - and for your reputation.

✨Lead With Kindness and Never Feed the Drama.

Let’s be real for a second: drama exists in every community. But drama doesn’t age well, and it doesn’t elevate anyone. In fact it can ultimately destroy you.

You don’t need to clap back.

You don’t need to correct every rumor.

You don’t need to explain yourself to people who are committed to misunderstanding you.

The loudest creators aren’t always the most respected.

The kindest ones are.

When you refuse to engage in negativity, you protect your peace, your brand, and your friendships. And you show others what true professionalism looks like.

The Pokémon community pays attention - and they gravitate toward the people who bring comfort, not chaos.

✨Your Reputation Is the Rarest Pull You’ll Ever Have.

Followers come and go. Algorithms change every week. Trends rise and disappear. But the way you make people feel - that stays.

The Pokémon community remembers creators who uplift others, who stay loyal, who keep showing up, and who refuse to compromise their character for clout.

If you want to get noticed, be the person who stays kind.

If you want to be remembered, be the person who stays loyal.

If you want to grow, grow without losing yourself.

Because the glitter, the excitement, the aesthetics - all of that is fun. But your heart is the real reason people follow you. And it’s the reason they’ll stay.
